Dance for Ithemba

Jacqueline's Academy of Dance has a social responsibility dance program by the name of 'Dance of Ithemba', or 'Dance of Hope'. Our program is aimed at sponsoring underprivileged students and parents who financially cannot afford to participate in extra mural activities.

Principals and governing bodies of various primary and pre-schools nominate candidates for the program and students are then given the opportunity to dance for one year under full sponsorship from the dance academy to gain stage and dancing experience. The academy currently has 85 students under sponsorship in the 'Dance for Ithemba' program and we are extremely proud of them.

Those who show promise are kept on the program and are then given the opportunity to do examinations under full sponsorship to help them further their career in dance.
